- Wait ! I thought the General Lee was a 1969
Charger.
- Well, most of them were. Some, like Keith Winfree's General Lee, were 1969 with a few
minor changes. Like the 1968 grill, and changing the side markers. Warner Brothers sold
seven of the General Lee's used in filming "The Duke's of Hazard" and Keith is
lucky enough to own one. Keith's Charger is powered by a 383. Keith even left the dent in
the hood that it suffered during filming.
