- The Thunderbird was named by Ford employee Gib Giberson. He won a $250
suit and also designed the 1955 T-Bird logo
- Thunderbird comes from the N. American Mythological Indian bird that

- The original T-Birds ran from 1954 (Sept. 1st 1954) to 1997 (Sept. 4th

- Retired Ford employee Billy Jones drove the last one off of the line in
